You are shown to a private room and given time to undress to whatever level you are comfortable with. You stay covered by a towel throughout, and only the part being worked on is uncovered. The room is warm, quiet and dimly lit.
Tell your therapist about problem areas before you lie down — a stiff right shoulder, a sore lower back, tight calves from running. That one sentence is the difference between a nice massage and a useful one.
Afterwards
